Day 1 - Arrival at the hotel
24 april 2016 - Paphos, Cyprus
This morning I woke up at 2 o’clock because I had to catch my flight from Brussels (Charleroi) to Paphos. At the airport there were a lot of extra security checks due to recent terrorist attacks in Brussels. As a result, there were really long queues for security check and border control. Therefore, it was a bit stressful because I did not have much time left to go to the gate. Luckily, I arrived on time at the gate and flew to Paphos. During the flight a really nice Dutch woman was sitting next to me. She was really interested in my internship and thought it was a good way to improve my English.
When I arrived in Paphos, the weather was really good and I looked for a bus to the hotel. I only needed to wait half an hour and the bus stopped in front of the hotel. At the reception of the hotel, I was welcomed like a real guest. The duty manager came to see me and welcomed me. He really made me feel comfortable and we had a nice conversation. After that, I got my own room and got some time for myself. I walked around the hotel and got a drink at the bar. Tomorrow, my real internship will start at 9 am. I am really curious because I do not really know what to expect.
Hallo Guus,
Ik ben nu even bij je opa en oma. Oma zat achter de laptop en heeft me je eerste bericht meteen laten lezen.
Ik ben benieuwd naar je verhalen komende weken en wens je veel plezier en succes.
Knuffel,
Yvonne
